I believe Chicago is one of the world’s greatest cities. The environment, culture, history, architecture, food, and personality all stand testament to how much you can take from the third largest city (population-wise) in the US. It’s a melting pot of different races, religious, traditions, and views. Because of that TheAverageChicagoan.com was looking for a unique perspective on the daily life and news from our city. That is where this writer/website contributor comes in.
I, like our 44th US president, am an African-American. I grew up on the northside of Chicago in one of the city’s most diverse neighborhoods; Rogers Park. I have resided in the city all my life and experienced many things that allow me to comment on a wide-range of topics. From politics, social commentary, business, and religion I, like all of you, have an opinion. The Minority Perspective is an editorial allowing my unfiltered biased commentary from that of an average Chicago minority. I invite all to comment on my posts and drive further discussions on sensitive/hot button topics that I’ll bring to the website. Stay tuned!
