Over the past few weeks, an increasing amount of robberies have been committed on a few CTA trains and buses. The thefts were mainly of the popular Apple iPhone, iPod, and other mobile electronics; such as smartphones and mobile gaming devices. A few of the robberies were armed but many involved robbers watching oblivious iPhone and iPod users neglect there surrounds while using their devices allowing for the robbers to simply snatch the items quickly and run off the train, during a stop. The CTA warns individuals to pay attention and to use valuable mobile electronics discretely away from sight of opportunists.

unsafe? i think not. people just need to stop being IDIOTS and sitting their messing with their phones. ITS CALLED STREET SMARTS. and this has been going on for how many months??? its hard to feel bad for the “victims” of these crimes when they’re caused by pure stupidity.
