I would have never thought I would be in agreement with a policy that would allow police to shoot at fleeing criminals. But with the frequency of shootings in Chicago, I say that the cops should do anything they can to get this shit under control. 15 people shot on a Tuesday night? Really? I can see that happening on a Friday or Saturday night, but a TUESDAY? Wow.
All I can say is I hope the police use this policy wisely, and only as a last option. We’ve heard about lethal force used as the first option far too often here in Chicago.
