Chicago Bears Week In Review: Rams @ Bears

50918078 300x212 Chicago Bears Week In Review: Rams @ BearsWhat I Predicted:
Week 13: vs. St. Louis (FOX) Forte dominated the Rams last year in St Louis and it wont be any different this season. Pace gets revenge and the bears roll 41 to 16.

What Happened: Bears 17, Rams 9
Well this was obviously the least attractive game of week 12 on paper and these two underachieving teams did not disappoint. Offensive inefficiency was the name of the game at Solider Field this Sunday; the Rams almost make you feel thankful for being a Bears fan.

Jay Cutler started off hot with 2 completions for more than 48 yards in the first quarter, but only finished the game with paltry 143 yards after finishing the first quarter with 121 yards. Jay got knocked around a few times but stood in the pocket and delivered more often than not.

Forte ran for 91 yards on 24 carries, and the Bears pulled this one out after an eventful week that saw Smith acknowledge his job scrutiny and Brian Urlacher sound off in a Yahoo! Sports article. The injured linebacker took some shots at Cutler and Forte while questioning the direction of the organization.

The Bears run game continues to be the reason that the offense can’t find a rhythm. The Rams are one of the worst at defending the run and the rushing attack of Matt Forte and Kahliel Bell looked outmatched at times.

Special teams cannot be let off the hook in this game; Brad Maynard had to burn a timeout because there were only 10 men on the field for a punt while backed up inside the Bears 20. The special teams coverage and blocking were suspect against the Rams as well.

Yes, this contest was ugly but enjoy it Bears fans, we will have to wait until January for another win when the Bears head to Detroit.
