With the primaries quickly approaching and regardless of outcome, The Brown Line column at TheAverageChicagoan.com fully endorses Andy Martin as the republican candidate for Senator Henry Burris’ U.S. Senate seat representing Illinois. We, including column founder Melvin T., believe in order to achieve the change our great city and state needs—a politician fighting for causes that can produce the most positive effects and benefits all is required. We believe this man is Andy Martin.
Bio
Not from Illinois, Martin was born in Connecticut and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Illinois. Martin has been a public-interest lawyer for over 40 years as well as a manager, teacher, public speaker, and politician. He has a controversial history as lawyer and politician. He has earned contempt due to his alleged nature to file frivolous lawsuits and verbal attacks on “malicious judges” who opposed him. In a motion he filed in a 1983 bankruptcy case, Martin is quoted as calling the presiding judge “a crooked, slimy Jew who has a history of lying and thieving common to members of his race.” Later that year he also filed another motion that stated, “I am able to understand how the Holocaust took place, and with every passing day feel less and less sorry that it did.” Martin claims he was misquoted and that most of those comments were falsified in order to ruin his reputation him. His supposed anti-Semitism also derailed a run for the Florida state Senate in the 90s. Martin has also been a strong critic against hometown favorite U.S. President Barack Obama, calling his birthplace and biological father into question.
The Illinois Republican Party Chairman Patrick Brady recently announced “The Illinois Republican Party disavows the statements made by Mr. Andrew Martin in his statewide radio advertisements… Mr. Martin will no longer be recognized as a legitimate Republican candidate by the Illinois Republican Party.”
Platform & Views:
Martin supports the beliefs and values that motivated our Founding Fathers. He believes in a free and decent society; that is a free and decent society of responsible citizens that respect notions that are especially indispensable in a modern and democratic society. He also supports notions of freedom, the rule of law, the importance of tradition, small government, and the worth of strong families and education. His campaign supports:
- Taxes that are fair and understandable
- Strong national defense
- A safe America where choices count, especially in health care, retirement & where everybody is afforded an opportunity
- Second Amendment rights
- Opposes Abortion
- Freedom of speech
Andy Martin wants to maintain the Republican Party as a conservative party but modernize its policy stands and open the party to full participation by every American. Andy favors inclusive social policies and is a strong supporter of the right to privacy. Andy will represent the public interest, not the special interests, in Washington

Hola! I ran into your website when i was on Google researching a few current Twitter trends to discover what’s been popular as of late. Given that I ended up here I thought why not stay and browse a few of your posts… interesting stuff. I will make sure to come back later on some time and get caught up.
With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My blog has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help reduce content from being stolen? I’d certainly appreciate it.
